What peptide bioregulators are
Peptides are short protein chains made up of 2–50 amino acids. The peptide bioregulators in the NPCRIZ range are especially short: 2–4 amino acids. This size matters, because it allows the peptides to enter the cell and act at the level of DNA expression.
Cytomaxes (natural)
- Origin: extracted from the tissues of young animals (usually calves) that correspond to human organs.
- Composition: a peptide complex (usually a combination of at least 3–5 different di-/tri-/tetra-peptides).
- Example: Libidon — prostate peptides from calf prostate tissue.
- 21 products in the range — a peptide complex of its own for each organ.
Cytogens (synthetic)
- Origin: chemically synthesised in a laboratory.
- Composition: most often a single short peptide (a di- or tripeptide) at a high purity concentration.
- Example: Cartalax — the synthetic cartilage dipeptide AED.
- 6 products in the range — the main organ systems.
- Suitable for vegans — no components of animal origin.
